Comprehensive Management of Gingival Smile: Diagnosis, Biomechanics, and Tissue Response
- Differential diagnosis for selecting the appropriate biomechanics
- Management of the gingival smile with auxiliary appliances
- Techniques and biomechanics assisted with mini-screws
- Biological response of tissues and complications
Specialties:
- Orthodontics, Periodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Pediatric Dentistry
Course Content:
Do you know when to perform only an intrusion of incisors or a Full Intrusion Arch mechanics?
Do you know the difference? The differential diagnosis to choose one or the other!
We will demonstrate how to correctly diagnose the gingival smile, what the indications for treatment of the gingival smile assisted with mini-screws are.
Additionally, this course aims to provide a detailed description of the biomechanics: auxiliary devices, size and location of mini-screws, force levels, limitations, and complications of these biomechanics.
We will emphasize the key points to consider in order to avoid an unfavorable response from the hard and soft tissues involved.
Definition: Introduction to the gingival smile and its clinical relevance.
Etiology: Analysis of the causes that may contribute to the gingival smile.
Facial, Oral, and Cephalometric Diagnosis: Methods for evaluating and diagnosing the gingival smile in an integrated manner.
Various Biomechanics Assisted with Skeletal Anchorage: Study of intrusion techniques and their clinical application.
Response of Periodontal Tissues: Evaluation of how biomechanical treatments affect the involved tissues and strategies for effective management.
