FIRST DAY ( THEORY)

SECOND DAY (HANDS-ON)

Exercise on teeth appropriately prepared before by Dr Cassai’s Staff of:
THIRD DAY ( LIVE ON PATIENT)
Timing of the day: 09 a.m. - 02 p.m.
Presentation of the retreatment case that Dr Cassai would approach under microscope. Clinicians could follow directly live every clinical steps on different monitors.
At the end of the treatment there will be an open discussion with all the participants.

FIRST DAY ( THEORY)

- Rationale of Retreatments: indications and controindicazioni and alternatives
- ulp chamber reopening: use of Ultrasonic Tips
- emoval of different posts: screwed, fiber and cast posts
- emoval of previous root canal fillings: pastes, cements, gutta-percha, silver cones and Thermafil
- vercoming of canal obstacles: plugs, steps and false roads
- emoval or surpassing of fractured instruments: IRS, Cancellieri's Kit and ProUltra 6,7,8 ultrasonic microscopy inserts.
- he operating microscope: working positions, advantages of vision and magnification
Clinical applications of the MTA: treatment of perforations, closure of open apices.
SECOND DAY (HANDS-ON)
Timing of the day: 09 a.m. - 06 p.m.
Exercise on teeth appropriately prepared before by Dr Cassai’s Staff of:
- Canal re-entry
- Removal of an endocanal screw and a carbon fiber post
- Canal emptying in cases with gutta-percha, cement or Thermafil
- MTA: filling a perforations and an open apex
THIRD DAY ( LIVE ON PATIENT)
Timing of the day: 09 a.m. - 02 p.m.
Presentation of the retreatment case that Dr Cassai would approach under microscope. Clinicians could follow directly live every clinical steps on different monitors.
At the end of the treatment there will be an open discussion with all the participants.

dDr. Cassai graduated cum laude in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at University of Ferrara in 1999.
He is the member of Styleitaliano.
He is active member of the Italian Society of Endodontology (SIE) and the Italian Association of Microscopic Dentistry (AIOM).
He is associate member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and European Society of Endodontology (ESE).
He was secretary of SERE the Emilia Romagna section of SIE for the year 2015-2017.
He was member of the cultural commission of SIE for the year 2017-2019.
He is member of the SIE Member Acceptance Commission for the year 2019-2020.
In 2004 Dr. Cassai was Preceptor at the Endodontics Department of Loma Linda University (California). He attended Dr. M.Torabinejad’s ward, Dr. Cliff Ruddle’s course center and Dr. Stephen Buchanan’s course center in Santa Barbara (California).
He lectured in courses and conventions both in Italy and abroad as lecturer and he is author of several publications on international scientific journals.
He works in private practice in Ferrara, particularly committed to clinical endodontics, microscopic surgery and aesthetic restorative dentistry.
Dr. Cassai is also a contract professor for Endodontology at University of Ferrara (AY 2004-2010 and 2013-2018).
He is active member of Style Italiano Endodontics.
He is the member of Styleitaliano.
He is active member of the Italian Society of Endodontology (SIE) and the Italian Association of Microscopic Dentistry (AIOM).
